Day 1

SEO TRUNG HO NATIONAL PARK

Depart the hustle and bustle of Hanoi in the morning and head for the unspoiled splendor of Mai Chau Valley. Take in the panoramic views before arriving to your authentic homestay and feasting on a home prepared lunch with your new family. Spend the afternoon exploring the charm and local culture of the nearby villages on a guided bicycle ride. Indulge in a relaxing evening, absorbing rural Vietnam life at the homestay, rich with entertainment and another delicious meal prepared by our lovely homestay host ms. Tan.

Day 2

HOMESTAY AND TREK

Load up on breakfast before stopping by a bamboo factory, and making your way nearby to embark on an awesome trek through rich forestry, countless rice fields, and beautiful villages. Mingle with people from the local Thai minority tribes and make conversation with children who will be ready to greet you with high fives and smiles! Grab lunch and stretch your legs before finishing your trek to your homestay for the evening. Crack open a few beverages and chill out while enjoying the peace and quiet of your remote surroundings.

Day 3

MAI CHAU - HANOI

Enjoy breakfast, before setting out on a quintessential "When in Vietnam" motorbike ride (pillion) to round out your final day in the rural countryside. Visit a nearby fresh water lake and cool off with a swim before returning to your homestay. Refuel with lunch, and freshen up before heading back to Hanoi, arriving just in time for our nightly activities and/or onward travel.

Conditions of Travel

In circumstances beyond the control of Vietnam Backpacker Hostels and the associated tour operators, such as weather conditions, mechanical failure and/or restrictions placed by the National Park Authorities, we reserve the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. NO refunds will be given in these circumtances, or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of the trip. We can not guarantee pick-up or drop-off times and are not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services or any associated costs incurred.

Liability

Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients and their belongings, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events, which are beyond our control.

Important

Passengers should note that adventure travel involves higher than normal risk.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is NOT included. We strongly recommend that passengers have their own travel insurance against illness, injury, loss/damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on confirmed departure dates.

The Essentials

Passport, comfortable shoes/ trainers, swim-stuff, towel, sunscreen, toiletries, raincoat, warm clothes for the cooler months (Nov-March) and areas, mosquito repellent, camera, spending money, flashlight, a healthy appetite and a good attitude!

How much luggage can I take?

Due to restricted vehicle space, we ask that you limit yourself to a maximum of 15 kgs in a backpack or overnight bag.

Where do I meet the trip?

The trip departs from our Downtown Hostel at 9 Ma May Street, Hanoi at 8am, so please be downstairs ready at 7:30am. If you're staying at our Original Hostel, please be downstairs and ready by 7:15am.

What do I eat?

One of the highlights of this trip is the unique access to local foods. Being in the Vietnamese countryside, it can be difficult to find places that will please everyone. However, if you are vegetarian, have food allergies or do not eat seafood we can cater to you. If you have very specific dietary needs please discuss this at the time of booking.

How fit do I have to be?

Our trips are active, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed. If you have any doubts about your suitability for our trips, please check with our Travel Desk before making a booking.

NOTE: Activities vary in duration and grade depending on the availability.

Online Bookings

All online bookings need to be confirmed and paid for in full 24 hours in advance. If not, Vietnam Backpacker Hostels will regard it as nonattendance. You will not be able to join the tour and will NOT be refunded.

Cancellation Policy Fees

Fees will be charged in event of booking cancellations

  • 48 Hours - 30 Days: 25% of booking cost
  • 24 Hours - 48 Hours: 50% of booking cost
  • Within 24 Hours or no shows: 100% of booking cost
