Day 1


Rise and shine early to depart our Downtown Hostel in Hanoi by bus. Settle into your hotel just in time to feast on a local lunch in Sapa town. Today is absolutely free for you to do some solo exploring. Hire a motorbike and check out the nearby silver and love waterfalls, indulge in a rejuvenating herbal bath at one of the many spas, or just meander through the markets and spend the evening relaxing in town.

Day 2


Wake up rested and ready for the big day ahead. Make your way out of town by bus to Ta Van village at the lower end of the famous Sapa valley. Go deep into the national park with one of our fully licensed local trek guides that will take you on remote terrain through lush bamboo forests and local Hmong villages. Nestle in for the night at an authentic homestay in Seo Trung Ho and enjoy a home cooked meal with your host family, experiencing life like a local.

Day 3


Fuel up on breakfast at your homestay as you prepare for your final trek just outside the national park, to the scenic Ban Ho village. Don't forget to snap a few photos to commemorate your epic journey before arriving back into Sapa town. Grab a quick shower, some last-minute souvenirs, and definitely some snacks for the bus back to Hanoi. Arrive at our Downtown Hostel at approximately 9:30pm and tuck in for a restful evening, or head out for a night on the town with us in Hanoi.

Conditions of Travel

In circumstances beyond the control of Vietnam Backpacker Hostels and the associated tour operators, such as weather conditions, mechanical failure and/or restrictions placed by the National Park Authorities, we reserve the right to alter the route or itinerary of any of its tours and arrange alternative carriers to those advertised if necessary. NO refunds will be given in these circumtances, or in the event of any delay, curtailment or alteration of the trip. We can not guarantee pick-up or drop-off times and are not liable for passenger failure to connect with other services or any associated costs incurred.


Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients and their belongings, we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to events, which are beyond our control.


Passengers should note that adventure travel involves higher than normal risk.

Travel Insurance

Travel Insurance is NOT included. We strongly recommend that passengers have their own travel insurance against illness, injury, loss/damage to personal belongings and not being able to travel on confirmed departure dates.

The Essentials

Passport, comfortable shoes/ trainers, swim-stuff, towel, sunscreen, toiletries, raincoat, warm clothes for the cooler months (Nov-March) and areas, mosquito repellent, camera, spending money, flashlight, a healthy appetite and a good attitude!

How much luggage can I take?

Please keep in mind that you will be carrying your pack while trekking. We recommend that you take only a small overnight bag with your essentials.

Where do I meet the trip?

The trip departs from our Downtown Hostel at 9 Ma May Street, Hanoi at 6:30am, so please be downstairs ready at 6am. If you're staying at our Original Hostel, please be downstairs and ready by 6am.

What do I eat?

One of the highlights of this trip is the unique access to local foods. Being in the Vietnamese countryside, it can be difficult to find places that will please everyone. However, if you are vegetarian, have food allergies or do not eat seafood we can cater to you. If you have very specific dietary needs please discuss this at the time of booking.

How fit do I have to be?

Our trips are active, so a reasonable level of fitness is needed. If you have any doubts about your suitability for our trips, please check with our Travel Desk before making a booking.

NOTE: Activities vary in duration and grade depending on the availability.

Online Bookings

All online bookings need to be confirmed and paid for in full 24 hours in advance. If not, Vietnam Backpacker Hostels will regard it as nonattendance. You will not be able to join the tour and will NOT be refunded.

Cancellation Policy Fees

Fees will be charged in event of booking cancellations

  • 48 Hours - 30 Days: 25% of booking cost
  • 24 Hours - 48 Hours: 50% of booking cost
  • Within 24 Hours or no shows: 100% of booking cost
