Listen to tunes and dig into some delicious food served up in our patio restaurant and lively indoor bar. With killer happy hours throughout the day and nightly poolside events, party the day away under the sun, and in our fully stocked game room late into the evening! VBH- Mui Ne’s attentive staff are sure to make you feel at home, and your time spent at our Backpacker Village is guaranteed to leave you with memories to last a lifetime!

Mui Ne is famous for the idyllic sand dunes, kite boarding and surfing, amazing local seafood and great weather! When first arriving in Mui Ne, you'll find 2 very different sides of town. The first being Mui Ne proper, a still very traditional Viet fishing town sat on a peninsula jutting out towards the ocean. The other side of Mui Ne (otherwise known as Ham Tien) is a 10km long beach strip where you'll find the majority of guesthouses, backpacker hostels and beachfront hotels. This is also the easiest place to find some good local seafood, western restaurants, bars, clubs and all the other usual fun you would expect from a beach town.

Just about any time of year is wonderful in Mui Ne. You can expect 30 degree weather and blue skies year round! In late summer and early winter you can expect the odd tropical storm and a bit of rainy weather, but it usually passes quickly and not nearly as bad as most other places in Vietnam. It is very easy to slip in to relaxation mode in Mui Ne, but make sure you explore this seaside town! Mui Ne is home to 2 famous sand dunes- the Red Sand dunes close into town, and the White Sand Dunes a bit further out of town. The Red dunes are very easy to get to, and can offer a great view of the surrounding town as well as the sea, but it is the White Sand Dunes that really are the star of the show. It has become tradition to take some old Russian army jeeps with a group to head out and explore these dunes. Travelers here can pay a bit extra upon arrival and jump on a quad bike to zip around the dunes for a bit of white-knuckle fun (either riding on the back or driving yourself). Anytime of the day is great to explore the dunes, but sunrise has to be the highlight. It is also recommended to have a stop at the picturesque Fairy Stream, a lovely little walk in a small canyon in ankle deep water and a nice waterfall with deeper spots to take a quick swim! Mui Ne is also the #1 destination in Vietnam for surfers and in particular, wind-surfing and kite-boarding. If you want to get more hands on, try one of the local cooking schools as well!

Reviews

Arrived here in December on my last few days of a 7 week trip looking for some rest and relaxation with some great weather and this place did not disappoint. The pool was never too crowded and there were games of volleyball during the day you could join in on. Sun was shining all day with music playing spanning multiple genres. The food was some of the best I've had in a VBH too and the staff, Zach, Annie and the others were all great. Everything ran smoothly and the staff took the time to get to know people and help everyone to socialize. They even gave us some great restaurant recommendations. Beds were clean and comfy too, would recommend this place to anyone staying in Mui Ne

First time in Mui Ne and felt welcomed and looked after. Killer party, pub quizzes, drinking games and good vibes. Shout out to Annie for going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, my stay wouldn't have been the same without you

We booked this place while on a night bus after travelling more than 8 hours. We didn’t know what to expect or even what the place was like. We were really impressed the pool is amazing and really clean. Throughout the day there’s activities to help get people to interact with each other the staff are full of life and energy you can tell they love what they’re doing. (Go out of there way to help you). Lots of restaurants near by and the beach is pretty close. We were travelling south to north and was stuck on where to stop, which route to take and which hostels to stay at. Chloe and Esmee helped us with this giving us a proper planned out itinerary. Really thankful for the help they gave us! They even gave us a free stay at there sister hostel! Really are two amazing people that love what they’re doing and it really shows. Keep up the good work!
