Start the day early with a 20 dish buffet breakfast at 6am. After you have eaten your fill we board the bus to start our journey up to Dong Ha town, where the history lesson begins. You will stop at a hill named the Rock Pile by American troops, which they used as a lookout to observe any Vietnamese military movements in the area. Next we visit the Dakrong Bridge, used by the NVA to transport weapons to the south, before arriving at the Khe Sanh combat base. We then head back to Dong Ha town where you can enjoy a traditional Vietnamese lunch.

After your belly is full you head north up the highway to pause at the Doc Mieu firebase where there is a large statue commemorating the contribution of Vietnamese women to the war effort. We then cross over the Hien Luong Bridge which spans the Ben Hai River at the 47th parallel, the infamous divide between the north and south. Marvel at the Vinh Moc tunnels and the ability of the Vietnamese people to construct and live uderground as a community for 6 years.

After exploring the tunnels you will jump on the bus and head back to Hue.
