Top 5 Bars in Hanoi

  1. Bia Hoi Corner - 2 minutes from our Downtown Hostel

Bia Hoi – Dotted all over the city, this is a brilliant place to sit down and watch the world go by over a nice, cold beer. It’s barreled, fresh and is one of the cheapest beers you will find in the world, so definitely worth spending 25 cents to experience. After all, we alike getting tipsy on a dollar.

  2. Finnegan’s – There’s one in every city and Hanoi is no exception. For the Irish amongst you, I’m sure you would smell this place a mile off. A wicked little bar with good beer, comfy seats, shows all the sports and even serves Guinness. Bring a bit of cash with you though as once you have sat down, it’s unlikely that you’re going to leave the bar for a good couple of hours.
  3. The Hidden Cafe – Hidden is an understatement. The location of 11 Hang Gai is a bit deceiving because from the road, there is no such place. However, as you walk through No.9, head down a small alleyway towards the back of the shop and it opens up into a wonderful quaint little cafe that serves fantastic egg milk coffee and has wonderful views of Hoan Kiem Lake.
  4. City View Cafe - Located right on the edge of the lake and next to one of the busiest intersections in Hanoi, this is an amazing place to head soak up some sun, take some photos then chill with a cold Tiger beer as you watch the chaos of the streets below and the calm serenity of the lake.
  5. The Rooftop Bar – Bring a fat wallet as this place can get pretty expensive. Whilst being one of the higher class bars in town, it’s also amazing when it comes to drinking there and you’ll soon see why. With a view of the city unrivaled by any other bar in town, this is definitely a place to go if you want to end your Hanoi experience in style.
